Explore. Uncover. Unlock what was forgotten.

Long ago, someone built clever machines into these hills: locks that answer to numbers, a wheel that drove a hoist, a power drawn from the rock itself. Then they were forgotten. Are you the one who will secretly unlock the mystery, and bring those forgotten technologies back to life?

A mystery adventure for young explorers. Roam valleys, mines and abandoned farms, follow the clues, and open every lock yourself. It plays in the browser on a laptop, tablet or phone.

What waits in the valley

A few of the places you will explore. Each one hides a lock, and every lock is a puzzle.

An old timber-framed mine entrance in a rocky hillside, with a rusty cart on the rails.

The mine on the hill

Someone fixed a strange beacon to the post by the mine. Every lock they built has one.

A red wooden mill with a water wheel at the end of a stone channel, beside a lake.

The water wheel

Copper-green rock on one bank, rust-red on the other, and water running between. Someone chose this ground on purpose.

A round stone sun clock with carved hour lines, fixed to a red barn wall above a stone base.

The sun clock

A sun clock on the farm wall, its pin missing. Find the pin, and the shadow will show the way.

Knotted ropes hanging from wooden pegs on a barn wall, light through the planks.

The counting rack

Knotted ropes on wooden pegs in the old barn. Count them right, and something heavy begins to move.

A loft desk with an open ledger, an old radio on a shelf and a round window looking over a valley.

The loft

A farm book with its last line left empty, a radio nobody has tuned, and a round window that waits for the sun.

A dark chamber wall with copper wires spreading out from a small wheel at its centre.

Under the old building

Something built long ago still holds a little power. What else wakes, when it does?

And over the next valley, people speak of lights in the sky: white, yellow and red. Nobody can say what they are.

The game

Now in early testing with families.

Two young explorers with a lantern at a carved stone door covered in number tiles, shapes and rotating dials, one pointing at the missing piece.
